There are a few ways to get around Santo, depending on how you like to travel. The island has one main road along the East Coast and one along the South Coast.
Please note that road conditions can be challenging. Some sections are currently being redone, but there are still many potholes, which means driving can be slow. The South Coast road is in particularly poor condition, so we would only recommend going there with a 4WD vehicle.

Taxis work well but do need to be booked in advance, especially as we’re not located in town. You can hire a taxi for half-day or full-day trips to explore the island. As a reference, a one-way trip between Matevulu Lodge and town is around 2,000 VT.
